Full (0% transparency) mask over left part of
screen. Only motion at the door (rightmost half
of the picture) will be detected.
The locally reduced motion level (in each element) registered may also sink under the
sensitivity level set; so, with suitable settings, local changes, such as those caused by signal
lights, may be ignored, while someone passing in front of them could be detected.

7.7.5.4 VMD detection window
The VMD detection window shows up as a small picture within the larger picture (figures
7.40b, 7.43). Depending on the thresholds set, the motion detection bar on the right side of
the picture shows up green (figure 7.43a) or red (figure 7.43b), the latter indicating a VMD
alarm will be generated (see section 7.7.5.5 below). In the picture, the upper and lower
thresholds are shown as two white markers. If the bar runs over the highest marker, it will
turn green again and there will be no alarm condition.
