How to Set Paper

You need to adjust the upper and lower trays and the envelope tray according to
the paper size. After adjustment, set a stack of paper and envelopes.

Upper and Lower Trays

Although these steps and figures describe the adjustment and paper setting for
the upper tray, first adjust the lower tray and set a stack of paper to the lower
tray in the same way as described. After the lower tray is set, adjust the upper
tray and set a stack of paper to it.

Reverse steps 1 through 3 to install the top cover.
Align the top cover with the typewriter body at its front side and engage
it with the hinge while pushing it down.
Push the paper tray button backward to make it pop up.
Pull the right and left extension paper supports toward you to unlock the
paper supports.
Move the left paper support to align the inside edge of the paper support

with the point zero ( ) of the paper scale.
Gently push back the left extension paper support to lock the left paper
support.
Move the right paper support according to the paper width.
If you are adjusting the lower tray, you need to position the center
support in the middle between the right and left paper supports.
