Computer Interfaces

Use these optional computer interfaces in the OPTION mode. Press the CODE
+ OPTION keys to enter the OPTION mode. Then select and run the computer
interface program.
IF-504P
I'he CDCC parallel interface unit IF-504P is an optional interface between this
typewriter and a computer with a parallel interface unit. If the typewriter
with the IF-504P is connected to the computer, it can work like a daisy wheel
printer, receiving the print data from the connected computer.
IF-505S
The RS-232C serial interface unit IF-505S is an optional interface between this
typewriter and a computer with a serial interface unit. If the typewriter with
the IF-505S is connected to the computer, it can work like a daisy wheel printer,
receiving the print data from the connected computer. This interface unit can
also allow the typewriter to emulate a TTY device.
IF-506C
The communications package IF-506C is an RS-232C serial interface between
this typewriter and a computer with a serial interface unit. If the typewriter
with the IF-506C is connected to the computer, it can work like a daisy wheel
printer, receiving the print data from the connected computer. This interface
unit can allow the typewriter to emulate the TTY terminal. It can also allow
the file transfer between this typewriter and the connected computer or the
same model of the typewriter. The typewriter can be connected to the host
computer or the same model of the typewriter directly and indirectly through
modems. This interface unit allows you data communications through a
telephone line.
