Precautions

Pay attention to the following precautions in order to get the most out of your
typewriter and to eliminate possible problems.
* Do not allow any object to enter the interior of the typewriter, especially
metal objects such as paper clips or staples.
* Air vents are provided on the bottom and back of the typewriter for
ventilation. Do not obstruct these air vents.
* Do not place the typewriter where it is exposed to direct sunlight, high
temperature, heat sources, and intense vibration.
* Place the typewriter horizontally on a flat surface.
* If connected to a computer through the optional interface unit, make sure
that the connecting cable is shielded and properly grounded.
* Always cover the typewriter when not using it.
* Hold the typewriter on the bottom of the printing mechanism when
moving it. Do not hold and force the keyboard.
