Press the CODE + A keys.
The phrase text you defined under the letter "A" is called out. The
typewriter asks you whether you are going to write the called phrase text
"A" over the selected phrase text "T." If yes, proceed to the next step. If
no, press the ESC key to cancel the temporary memory function.
[10] Press the
(R eturn) key.
The called phrase text "A" is written over the selected phrase text "T" in
the current phrase libraiy. The display shows the copied phrase text in
the entry area for the phrase text "T" with an asterisk.
[11] Press the
(R eturn) key again with the cursor located on the phrase
text label "T."
The cursor appears at the beginning of the entry area.
[12] Modify the text, for example like this 'The phrase text you defined under
the alphabet label "T" appears.'
You can edit the phrase text in the same way as you do in the WP mode.
[13] Press the END key to store the text as the phrase text "T."
[14] Press the PH RASE key to quit the phrase function.
Once you define the phrase texts in the phrase library, they are automatically
stored in the internal memory. Continue the following steps to make use of
the phrase library:
[15] Open a new file in the WP mode for practice.
You may select the TYPE mode.
[16] Press the CODE + A keys.
Then the phrase text you defined under the alphabet "A" appears at the
current cursor position.
The phrase text you defined under the alphabet label
"A" appears.
If you selected the TYPE mode at step 15, the display shows the selected
phrase text. If you want to type it, press the ^_J (R eturn) key. The
typewriter starts printing the same phrase text.
Also you can make use o f the phrase library with the stop code function.
When the stop code suspends printing the text in the W P mode, it allows
you to type any text directly on paper. You can call the phrase text and
type it on paper in the same way as you do in the normal TYPE mode.
Then resume printing. Refer to the section "Stop Code."
