When you type the text in the WP mode, you can set stop codes in the file. Stop
codes are special function symbols that suspend printing and show the prompt
message of your own. You need to enter the prompt message in advance. When
the stop code suspends printing, the defined prompt message appears on the
display to remind you of something or the typewriter allows you to type and
add the text at that position directly on paper.
In addition to this type of usage, the stop codes can be used with the powerful
merge printing. When printing, the stop codes can work as the labelname for
merge printing. For further information, refer to the section "Merge Printing."
Before you begin the following steps, be sure to select the WP mode and open a
text file:
Follow these steps:

Type the text or move the cursor to any position where you add a stop
code.

Press the CODE + STOP keys.
The display shows the entry area of your prompt message on the lower
line.

Type your own prompt message in the entry area.
Up to 32 characters are allowed for entry. If you fail to type the prompt
message, press the CODE + C ORRECTION keys to delete the entry text
at one time. Retype the conect one. Pressing the ESC key immediately
undos the deletion and the last entry text is recovered.

Press the
(Return) key.
The display clears the entry area of the prompt message and returns to the
edit screen. The text now contains the slop code start symbol, prompt
message, and stop code end symbol.

Repeat steps 2 through 5 to add as many stop codes as you like.
