Acoustic Cover/Glare-proof Plate
The acoustic cover suppresses the sound of the printing mechanism, and pre­
vents dust and foreign matter from entering the typewriter. The glare-proof
plate prevents the reflection of light.
Follow these steps to install the acoustic cover and glare-proof plate:

Reverse these steps to remove the acoustic cover/glare-proof plate.

Remove the plastic spacer.

Bend the acoustic cover slightly.
Insert the left side pin of the acoustic cover into the hole on the left side
o f the top cover.
Put down the cover until it locks securely in its place.
Install the plastic spacer.
Raise and adjust the glare-proof plate to prevent the light from reflecting
on the acoustic cover.
