This typewriter makes use of a daisy wheel. A set o f type font is cast on the
spoke end of the wheel. The wheel spins to position a particular character at the
printing position and the printing mechanism strikes it from behind to impact

the character against the ribbon and paper. The carrier which holds the daisy
wheel moves along the platen to form a line of characters. The daisy wheel is
enclosed in a cassette for easy handling and quick replacement.
Bit
To replace the daisy wheel cassette:

Open the top cover.
Pull the cassette lock lever toward you.
Lift the cassette out o f the guide slot by holding its tab.
Insert a new daisy wheel cassette into the guide slot with the tab on the
right side.
Make sure that the daisy wheel cassette is placed properly.
Push the cassette lock lever toward the platen until it clicks.
Close the top cover.
