[3] Type the corresponding data under each labclname.
Each data area allows you to type up to 72 characters. If you want to
widen or narrow the column width, move the cursor to the objective
column. Every time you press the CODE + 0 (Zero) keys, the column is
widened by 8 characters. Pressing the CODE + 9 (Nine) narrows the
column by 8 characters. A single merge file can have up to 999 records of
data.
The data entry area allows you to input characters, sub-/supcrscripts, dead
characters, expanding, permanent backspace, and keyboard change. Data
can have the return code that requires the carrier return when merge
printing. Press the CODE +

If you make a mistake in typing data, use the K— I (B ackspace) or
CORRECTION key in the same way as you do for the labelname. If you
press the CODE + C O RRECTION keys, the data is deleted front the
entry area. Pressing the ESC key immediately undos the deletion and the
erased data is restored.

labelname entry area, the column of that labelname including merge data blinks
as if it was screened. The typewriter asks you whether you arc going to delete
all the contents of the specified column. If no, press the ESC key to cancel the
