Diagnostics

The message lamp is localec! on the left side of the typewriter. It flickers and
shows error number or letter which tells you what the problem is. The
display also shows the error messages.
The typewriter can perform the error checking operation. If a recoverable error
occurs, the typewriter automatically resets itself to cope with it. If an
unrecoverable error occurs, the typewriter shows the error message on the
display and the error number or letter also flickers on the message lamp.
Because the typewriter locks up, you cannot continue typing. Unrecoverable
errors may cause serious damages to the typewriter. Consult the dealer where
you purchased the typewriter as soon as possible.
