Allows you to choose between Standard UCC/EAN-128 and Application Record for-
mats.
With Standard enabled, UCC/EAN-128 labels are interpreted and output in standard
UCC/EAN-128 format.
Application Record is a user-definable variation of UCC/EAN-128 that does the following:
• Separates Application Identifier fields.
• Pads variable length fields (unless disabled) with 0's until the maximum length is
reached (except for the last field of the label).
• Passes each Application Identifier and its data field onto the application processing soft-
ware.
• Allows you to add and define separators between data fields, enclose Application Iden-
tifier's in brackets, and disable padding.
Note: If an illegal Application Record format is detected, then the scanner will process
it as a noread and output a noread message (if enabled).
