Step 11 Test Decode Rate with Moving Label

Once you've mounted the scanner and established a good read rate with a station-

ary label, you can repeat the test with a moving label.

To ensure reliable scanning, you need to apply a minimum of

label. This means that all variables, label speed, raster height, raster speed, read

range, etc., are significant.

To calculate in advance the number of scans that the label will receive, use the for-

mulas described in

Appendix E — "Formulas for Number of Decodes."
