Description
Handset software is incompatible with
hardware.
x...x = AP MAC address
Handset cannot obtain sufficient
bandwidth to support a call; displays
MAC of failing AP.
Handset is unable to contact the
DHCP server.
Attempted to run site survey
application without an SSID set.
Handset software download files are
incorrect or corrupted.

Handset has lost contact with the
SpectraLink 8000 Telephony
Gateway.
Handset cannot find a SpectraLink
8000 Telephony Gateway.
Handset not registered on
SpectraLink 8000 Telephony
Gateway.
SpectraLink 8000 Telephony
Gateway is not working
No LAN connection at the AP or
SpectraLink 8000 Telephony
Gateway.
Invalid IP.
Cannot authenticate / associate with
AP.
This indicates the handset cannot find
any access points due to:
No radio link.
No SSID – Auto-learn not supported (or)
Incorrect SSID.
Action
Download new software from the
SpectraLink site per Chapter 7 Software
Maintenance.
Try the call again later.
Check that DNCP is operational and
connected to wireless LAN or use Static
IP configuration in the handset.
Configure an SSID in the Admin menu.
Reconfigure the handset to gain access
to the wireless LAN and download new
code.
Verify that the SpectraLink 8000
Telephony Gateway is properly
configured.
Verify that the SpectraLink 8000
Telephony Gateway is powered on. If
so, follow standard SpectraLink 8000
Telephony Gateway troubleshooting
procedures.
Verify SpectraLink 8000 Telephony
Gateway connection to LAN and all
APs.
Check the IP address of the handset
and reconfigure if required.
Verify the AP configuration.
Verify that all the WEP settings in the
handset match those in the APs.
Verify that the AP is turned on.
Verify the SSID of the wireless LAN
and enter or Auto-learn it again if
required. See SpectraLink
8020/8030 Wireless Telephone
