Servicing the Internal HBA Card and HBA Super
Capacitor (FRU)
The following section describes how to service and install the Oracle Storage 12 Gb SAS PCIe
RAID HBA, Internal card and HBA super capacitor. The internal HBA card and HBA super
capacitor are field-replaceable units (FRUs). For more information about FRUs, see
Parts Breakdown" on page 20
For more information about the internal HBA card, refer to the Oracle Storage 12 Gb SAS PCIe

If your server is configured with Oracle Storage 12 Gb SAS PCIe HBA, Internal
Note -
(non-RAID) cards in PCIe slots 10 and 11, use the procedures in
(CRU)" on page 131
to remove and install the HBA cards.
Ensure that all power is removed from the server before removing or installing the
Caution -
internal HBA card and super capacitor. You must disconnect all power cables from the system
before performing these procedures.
These procedures require that you handle components that are sensitive to
Caution -
electrostatic discharge. This sensitivity can cause the components to fail. To avoid
damage, ensure that you follow antistatic practices as described in
Safety" on page
50.
The internal HBA card and HBA super capacitor should be removed and replaced
Caution -
only by authorized Oracle Service personnel.
