default printer. Click Next.
When the installation is completed, you may print a test page. Click Finish.

Assigning a Printer IP Address

Before using the printer in the network, you must set an IP address, subnet mask, and
gateway for the printer. The default address of the printer is preset at the factory, but you
must change the IP address for use in your network environment. If you want the IP address
to be set automatically by the DHCP , BOOTP, or RARP server, the server must be installed
on your computer.
To configure the IP address manually, you can use the supplied Dell CD. Print the
Configuration page of the printer to see the current network configuration and MAC
address. You will need this information to configure the printer for the network.
Make sure that the printer is connected to your network and powered on. Close all

unnecessary programs.
