4. Optical extender concept
HDMI-3D-OPT-TX200 series have a multi-mode single fiber output interface which is able
to transmit different type of signals at the same time. On the input side video interfaces
(DP, HDMI and DVI-D), analog audio ports (jack and Phoenix) and RS-232 signal can be
attached to the device, these all ones can be transmitted via the fiber optical link. Besides
that a local USB, Ethernet, GPIO, and a local HDMI out ports are present.
ATTENTION!
One audio and one video signals can be transmitted via the optical output at the same time.
4.1. Audio interface
4.1.1. Audio inputs and modes
The extender can receive audio from two type of sources:
▪
▪
The audio coming from the analog inputs can be assigned to any video input. The gain levels
of the analog audio input and the volume of the analog audio output ports are adjustable.
Audio embedding – allowed connections
When the desired video signal is selected, the audio of the transmitted signal can be:
▪
▪
INFO
The audio of the HDMI2 input can be embedded only in the original video stream. The
audio of HDMI1 input cannot be mixed with the video of HDMI2 input and vice versa.
Audio options - example
The concept
The desired source can be switched to the output: the Mp3 player or the Blu-ray player. In
both cases, the video signal is coming from the Blu-ray player.
