B.2 S e tu p P ro c e d u re fo r Win d ows
Prior to using the recovery tool to backup or restore, a few setup procedures are required.
Hardware and BIOS setup (see Section B.2.1)

Create partitions (see Section B.2.2)

Install operating system, drivers and system applications (see Section B.2.3)

Build the recovery partition (see Section B.2.4)
Create factory default image (see Section B.2.5)

NOTE:
The setup procedures described below are for Microsoft Windows
operating system users. For Linux, most of the setup procedures are
the same except for several steps described in Section B.3.
B.2.1 Ha rdwa re a n d BIOS S e tu p
Make sure the system is powered off and unplugged.

Install a hard drive or SSD in the system. An unformatted and unpartitioned disk
