Step 2.
Slide the hot-swap power supply into the bay until the release latch clicks into place.
Step 3.
Connect one end of the power cord for the new power supply into the ac connector on the back
of the power supply; then, connect the other end of the power cord into a properly grounded
electrical outlet.
Step 4.
If the server is turned off, turn on the server.
Step 5.
Make sure that the ac power LED on the power supply is lit, indicating that the power supply is
operating correctly. If the server is turned on, make sure that the dc power LED on the power
supply is lit also.
If you have other devices to install, do so now. Otherwise, go to "Completing the installation" on page 54.

Completing the installation

Use this information to complete the installation.
To complete the installation, complete the following steps.
Step 1.
If you removed the PCI riser-card assembly, reinstall it (see "Replacing the PCI riser-card
assembly" on page 55).
Step 2.
If you removed the air baffle, reinstall it (see "Replacing the air baffle" on page 55).
Step 3.
If you removed the server cover, replace it (see "Replacing the cover" on page 56).
Step 4.
Install the server in the rack cabinet (see the Rack Installation Instructions that come with the
server for instructions).
Step 5.
Reconnect the cables and power cords (see "Connecting the cables" on page 57).
Step 6.
Update the server configuration (see "Updating the server configuration" on page 58).
Step 7.
Slide the server back into the rack, if necessary.
Step 8.
Start the server. Confirm that it starts correctly and recognizes the newly installed devices, and
make sure that no error LEDs are lit.
