To remove the air baffle, complete the following steps.
Step 1.
Read the safety information that begins in the begin of this documentation.
Step 2.
Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords and all external cables,
if necessary.
Step 3.
Remove the cover (see "Removing the cover" on page 35).
Step 4.
Grasp the air baffle; then, lift it up out of the server and set it aside.

Attention: For proper cooling and airflow, replace the air baffle before you turn on the server.
Operating the server with the air baffle removed might damage server components.

Removing the PCI riser-card assembly

Use this information to remove the PCI riser-card assembly.
Read the safety information in "Safety" on page v and "Installation guidelines" on page 33.
If you are replacing a server component in the server, you need to turn off the server and peripheral devices,
and disconnect the power cords and all external cables.
To remove the PCI riser-card assembly, complete the following steps.
Step 1.
Remove the cover (see "Removing the cover" on page 35).
Step 2.
If an adapter is installed in the PCI riser-card assembly, disconnect any cables that are connected
to the adapter.
Step 3.
Grasp the front and rear of the PCI riser-card assembly and lift it out of the PCI riser-card slot
on the system board.
