Creating a Maintenance Intermediate Point

Maintenance intermediate point (MIP) is a logical entity configured at a port of a switch that constitutes
intermediate points of a maintenance entity (ME).
An ME is a point-to-point relationship between two MEPs within a single domain. A MIP is not associated with
any MA or service instance, and it belongs to the entire MD.

announced their presence via CCM.
MIP Database (MIP-DB): Every MIP must maintain a database of all other MIPs in the MA that have
announced their presence via CCM.
