12.4.14 Global External Switch Settings

EDIT : MIDI : PAGE
(14x)
The Global External Switch Settings page is used to set up each of four optional External Switches with MIDI and switch
behavior settings.
XS1 #OFF Ch01 TypHDW
PARAMETER
Use the 
 footswitches to move between the four parameters of this page: External Switch Number, MIDI
CC#, MIDI Channel and Switch Type.
A value of OFF for MIDI CC# disables the selected switch.
The Switch Type parameter determines the "virtual switch" function when the physical switch is "stomped" once:
Switch Type Value
HDW ("Hardware Follow")
TOG ("Toggle")
AUT ("Auto Off")*
* Auto Off Switches send their programmed ON message followed later (~250ms) by the OFF message.
NOTE: The MFC-101 also needs to be configured with the correct External Switch Hardware Type (12.5.17).
NOTE: Global Switch settings may be overridden at the Preset Level. See 12.1.7 on p. 45.

12.4.15 Global External Switch On/Off Values

EDIT : MIDI : PAGE
(15x)
Global External Switch On/Off Values determines the data value which will be sent when each of four optional external
switches is turned ON or OFF.
XS1 Off 000 On 127
PARAMETER
Use 
 to select between External Switch (XS) Number, Off Value, and On Value parameters.
Any setting from 0-127 may be used for either value.
A setting of "OFF" for either state will cause that switch state to send no data.
NOTE: Global Switch ON/OFF values may be overridden at the Preset Level. See 12.1.8 on p. 45.
