12.2 The Song/Set Menu

Use the pages of this menu to select Songs or Sets and edit their parameters. For an overview of Song and Set
operating modes, see Chapter 9 on p. 35.

12.2.0 Song Edit

EDIT : SONG/SET
Song Edit is used to assign MFC-101 presets to the selected song.

PARAMETER
Use the 
 footswitches to move between Song Number, Song Preset (aka "slot number") and Select Preset.
A value of "OFF" may be used to leave any preset slot in a song empty. Pressing the footswitch for an empty slot does nothing.
NOTE: It is possible to assign up to 15 presets to any song, but the number of footswitches that will actually be available for
selecting presets in that song is subject to the global Bank Size (12.5.6). If Bank Size is "10", for example, Song Presets 11–15
will not be accessible as these footswitches will be assigned to their Instant Access functions.

12.2.1 Song Name

EDIT : SONG/SET : PAGE
Song Name is used to edit MFC-101 song names. Each song name can be up to 7 characters in length.

PARAMETER
Use the 
 footswitches to move between Song Number parameter and individual characters of the Song
Name.
Besides the usual methods of exiting this menu, changing the song number will store the edited name.
Names also appear as you step
