S T A T O R C O N T I N U I T Y T E S T
Remove the left side cover.
Disconnect the alternator and regulator/rectifier
c o u p l e r .
Check for continuity between the leads, and be-
t w e e n t h e l e a d s a n d g r o u n d .
R e p l a c e t h e s t a t o r i f t h e r e i s n o c o n t i n u i t y b e t w e e n
the leads, or if there is continuity between the leads
a n d g r o u n d .
V O L T A G E R E G U L A T O R / R E C T I F I E R
T E S T
Remove the left side cover.
Disconnect the regulator/rectifier couplers.
Check for continuity between the leads with an

o h m m e t e r .
N O T E
The test results shown are for a positive
ground ohmmeter and the opposite results
w i l l b e o b t a i n e d w h e n a n e g a t i v e g r o u n d o h m -
m e t e r i s u s e d .
