Subnet Mask and Default Gateway.

Serial Port Configuration

The Management Setup Menu item, Serial Port Configuration, is shown in
Figure 5.7.
Network Configuration
Indicates Ethernet as the management interface type
Indicates the current management interface type
Indicates the current MAC address
Internet Protocol address, identifying the switch,
consisting of four numbers from 0 to 255, separated
by periods.
This number together with the IP address identifies
the network your computer is on.
A gateway is a connection or interchange point that
connects two networks that would otherwise be
incompatible. For example, a local area network
(LAN) may need a gateway to connect it to a wide
area network (WAN) or to the internet.
