Cut two pieces of hook and loop strap. Use epoxy to glue the
straps to the front and rear formers. Make sure the straps are
positioned so they will hook together and the receiver batteries
can be secured in the battery compartment.

Cut a piece of 1/4-inch (6mm) foam and place it into the
battery compartment.

Place a receiver battery into the compartment, routing the
leads through the openings and into the fuselage.

Cut and place a second piece of foam, placing it on the first
battery. Insert the second receiver battery, then secure the
batteries using the hook and loop straps.

Thread a black screw into each of the holes to cut threads
in the surrounding wood. Remove the screw then proceed to
the next step. Apply a small amount of thin CA to harden the
threads made in the previous step. Secure the battery cover
to the fuselage using the four black M3 x 10 washer heads
screws.

Route the leads from the batteries to the receiver inside the
fuselage. Connect 12-inch (305mm) battery extensions to the
batteries, routing the extensions through the formers toward
the mounting area for the receiver.
