4.10 ENGINE
START
Do not attempt flight ifthere is no indicationof alternator
output.
If a positive oil pressure is not indicatedwithin 30 seconds
following an engine start, stop the engine and determine
the trouble. In cold weather it will take a few seconds
longer to get a positive oil pressure indication.
Startermanufacturer recommends
be limited to 10 seconds with a 20 second
between cranking attempts. Maximum
allowed. If start is not achieved on sixth attempt allow
starter to cool for 30 minutes before attempting additional
starts.

Before starting the engine, setthe parking brake ON. Check thatallcircuit
breakers are in and that the alternateair is OFF. Move
