Maintain attitude, airspeed and heading control using standby instruments,
and other directionalindications (such as MFD,
magnetic compass
page).
High current loads in the vicinity of the magnetic compass
can influenceits accuracy.Depending on the flight conditions,
the pilot must reduce these loads as much
insure accuracy. Tests have shown
pitot heat contribute to significantheading errors of the
magnetic compass. These items should be turned OFF
to comparing magnetic compass headings.
