Engine Start
General
Do
not attempt flight if there is no indication of primary
alternator output.
If a positive oil pressure is not indicated within 30 seconds
following an engine start, stop the engine and determine
the trouble. In cold weather
longer to get a positive oil pressure indication.
Starter manufacturer recommends
be limited to 10 seconds with a 20 second rest period
between
cranking attempts. Maximum
allowed. If start is not achieved on sixth attempt allow
starterto cool for 30 minutes before attempting additional
starts.
