Print density

Adjusts the print density. The density can be adjusted among five levels from Level 1 (light) to Level 5 (Dark). A larger value
means darker printing. The initial setting is Level 3 (standard).
After proof copy, you can adjust the density on the Operation Panel of the printer.

Clustering

When printing a lot of jobs, copies or pages, you can improve the efficiency
of printer processing by splitting or distributing jobs to other printer control-
lers of the same model linked through the network.
Click the [Details] button to display the [Clustering] window.
For a large data size, splitting of a job will give smoother printing.
If an optional HC Finisher is installed, when you use the clustering function, turn off the following functions on the [Finisher] tab.
• The setting of [Add cover]
• The setting of [Booklet]
• The setting of [Stapler]
• The setting of [Punching]
• The setting of [Paper Fold]
• The setting of [Offset Output]

Job delegation
If multiple units of the same printer controller model are
connected on the network, jobs can be distributed to
these controllers.
If Job delegation is set to ON, when a new job is
received while a job is being processed, the new job is
sent for printing to a controller that has the highest pri-
ority is the order of the registered controller IP list.
The initial setting is [OFF].
Register the controllers using [Clustering] at [Control-
ler setting] in [Administrator] of RISO Console PS7R.
Example of "Clustering" of "HC5500 User's Manual
for Console" ()p.2-16) is shown.

Job split
When processing a job with a lot of pages or a lot of cop-
ies, you can split the job into multiple jobs.
Application loaded to the printer controller per job will
be reduced.
• Output-range-based
Set the page number that triggers job split at [Job split
limit].
• Print-volume-based
Set the number of copies that triggers job split at [Job
split limit].
The initial setting is [OFF].
Job split limit
Specifies the condition for job split. If the specified
number of pages or copies is exceeded, job split is acti-
vated.
