This lamp comes on when the starter key is turned
to "ON". It should go out a few seconds later. If the
lamp comes on again, this indicates there is a mal-

vehicle in a safe place and perform the following
inspection.
1. Turn the starter key to the "OFF" position and
then to the "ON" position again.

for longer than a few seconds or it goes off but
comes on again.
The system is normal if the warning lamp goes
off in a few seconds after the starter key is
turned to "ON". The system is also normal if the
warning lamp does not go off a few seconds but
then goes off as soon as the vehicle is started.
3. If the system is found to be faulty, have the sys-
tem repaired by an authorized dealer as soon as

remaining lit, the normal brake system is still func-
tioning satisfactorily. Only the ABS function is lost.
Drive with great care on slippery surfaces with the
vehicle in this condition.
