CAUTION
To ensure maximum safety, be sure to pull
the parking brake lever fully to apply the
parking brake and block the wheels with
chocks thus preventing the vehicle from
accidentally moving.
Performing the cranking is of essential
importance in terms of protecting the turbo-
charger.
1. Pull the parking brake lever to fully apply the
parking brake.

4 Starting the engine with the cab tilted

When you need to start the engine with the cab
tilted for inspection or servicing purposes, be sure
to observe the following safety precautions:
Set the parking brake firmly and chock the
wheels.
Make sure the gearshift lever is placed in the "P"
position and the gear position indicator shows
"P".
Make sure nobody is near the engine compart-
ment, then place the starter switch in the
"START" position to start the engine.
