5.1 Check

Do not check the oil level immediately after
driving, as
extremely hot oil.
Give the oil time to cool before performing
the inspection.

1. Remove inspection plug

WARNING
Do not replace the oil immediately after driv-
ing, as you could be scalded by extremely
hot oil. Give the oil time to cool before drain-
ing it.
NOTE:
Oil removal is quicker if performed not so long after
the vehicle has been stopped and while the oil is
still warm.
2. The drain plug on the front axle is fitted with a
magnet. Wipe off any metal particles sticking to
the magnet.
3. Replace the gasket of the drain plug with a new
one.
