GUI Description: The library detected that Ethernet communication to a tape
drive has failed.
Explanation: A tape drive that is mounted in a drive sled is controlled via
serial communication by the drive sled controller. If the tape drive is also
supporting an Ethernet connection, tape drive control may also be performed
via this interface, without drive sled controller involvement. If a tape drive
Ethernet connection is used by the library and communication is lost, this
ticket is generated to report the issue.
LCB cannot communicate with the tape drive via tape drive Ethernet interface.
• Tape drive powered off.
• Drive not connected to EEB.
• Drive not connected to LCB (if EEB is not installed).
• EEB not connected/operational (separate ticket T177 also shown).
• Internal drive sled Ethernet routing/connection failure.
• LCB Ethernet hub is not working correctly.
