Commands
9.3.1.1 Firmware, new load

The following functions are possible by entering the following commands (in capital
letters):
UPLOAD
DOWNLOAD
RSTDEF
FIRMWARE
Example:
"UPLOAD" command to read the configuration parameters from the card reader.
Prerequisite: DIP switches 5 and 6 must be in ON position.
1.
Start the program "HyperTerminal". See also chapter 9.2 Launching the
terminal program

Enter the command „FIRMWARE".
The message START BOOTLOADER is displayed (see figure)

Select „New Connection" from the „File" menu.
The following dialog box opens:
to read all configuration parameter sets
to write new parameter sets
reset reader to default parameter values.
The default parameters can be found in chapter 10.
to load new firmware into your reader. More information
can be found in chapter 9.3.1.1.
