7.13.1 Description of the preformatter
Description
In the preformatter the PMP video format is converted into the Texas Instruments video format and the signal is resynchronized on
a new crystal. Furthermore the data, control and power signals are split into signals for the Red Formatter, signals for the Green
Formatter and signals for the Blue Formatter.
There is also a conversion between I2C (Barco) and RS232 (Texas Instruments) on the preformatter.
