To change the location of the configuration file through the SoundPoint IP 200W
web interface:
1. On the handset, press the OK key, then select Settings > Network
Settings > DHCP > Boot Server, verify that Static is selected, and then
press the OK again.
You will prompted for the administrative password.
2. Press the Volume Up key to get the local IP address of the gateway.
3. Type this IP address into the address field of your web browser on a
computer that is connected to the same network as the gateway.
4. Log in using the default username and password.
For example, Polycom/456
5. Select Management.
6. Set the IP address or FQDN of your boot server in the firmware address.
7. Select Save.
8. Select Reboot for the change to take effect.
If you use the configuration file to specify %FWU_TFTP_SERVER_PATH%, then when
the gateway is rebooted, the firmware address you specify in the local web
administration will be overwritten.
When a gateway is reset, any active calls on the SoundPoint IP 200W will suspend
any reboot requests until the there is no active calls. The gateway will automatically
reset 15 seconds after the last call. If the Call light is lit on the gateway, there are
active calls.
To change the location of the configuration file through the configuration file
itself:
1. Press the OK key, then select the Settings > Network Settings > DHCP >
Boot Server, change to Static if necessary, and then press the OK key
again.
This will ensure that the gateway uses the manually configured boot
server address.
2. Change NETWORK_TFTP_SERVER in the current configuration file at
the current location.
