3. (Optional) Encrypt the configuration file.
For more information, refer to step 3 in the next section,
Phones.
4. Place a new configuration file at the new location.
5. To load the new configuration file, select Settings > System Settings >
Reset Gateway > Yes from the phone.
This will download the new configuration file from the old location.
Connect power to both the gateway and the SoundPoint IP 200W phone. For
more information, refer to the User Guide.
Charge the SoundPoint IP 200W phone battery for at least 10 hours. When the
gateway powers on, the power indicator and the I-net indicator on the gateway turn
red.
To deploy phones from the boot server:
1. If you are using a non-DHCP network:
— Set the IP address, subnet mask and DNS server of the base manually
using the handset user interface:
From the idle display on the SoundPoint IP 200W phone, press the OK
key, select the Settings Menu, and then press the OK key again.
Select Network Settings > IP Mode > Static and press the OK key.
Enter the IP address, subnet mask, DNS server, and default gateway.
Press the Yes soft key.
Reset the gateway.
When a gateway is reset, any active calls on the SoundPoint IP 200W will suspend
any reboot requests until the there is no active calls. The gateway will automatically
reset 15 seconds after the last call. If the Call light is lit on the gateway, there are
active calls.
2. Create a configuration file named <MAC>.cfg .
