Updating Firmware

To set up the handset and gateway security:
1. Do one of the following steps to set the access code on your gateway:
Through the phone:

Select Settings > System Settings > Access Code > Gateway.
Enter the four access digit code.
The default value is 0000.
Through the web user interface:

Log into the web administration interface of your gateway.
Select System Settings > Security Settings.
Configure the access code with the four digit access code.
In the configuration file:

Change the parameter %AC_CODE%.
For example, setting %AC_CODE% to 0x94,0x94 would set the access
code to "9494".
2. Do the following steps to set the access code on your handset:
Select Settings > System Settings > Access Code > Handset.

Enter the same four digit code you entered in step 1.

3. Reset the gateway.
The firmware update server only keeps one version of firmware at a time. The
file location on the server is configurable.
The time required to update the SoundPoint IP 200W varies depending on the
number of handsets and the speed of the Internet connection. During the
update process the following steps are listed in the display:
• Getting gateway (about one minute)
• Updating gateway handset (about five minutes)
• Getting the handset (about one minute)
• Updating handset (about 12 minutes per handset)
