FAX UNIT OPTIONS
For Single or Dual G3 Port Installation

1. Attach the speaker assembly [A] to the I/O board cover bracket ( x 3,  x 2).
2. Hold the harnesses with clamps [B].
3. Reattach the controller box cover.
NOTE: When reassembling, use caution not to damage harnesses and
electrical circuits.
4. Reattach the rear cover ( x 2).
5. Connect the telephone line/s to the
jack/s [C]
• For a single G3 interface unit: LINE 2
• For a dual G3 interface unit:
LINE 2 and 3
6. Put the power plug into the outlet and
turn the main switch on.
NOTE: Make sure that the outlet is
grounded.
7. Start the service mode and set bit 1 of
communication switch 16 to "1"
(Fax SP1-104-023).
8. If you install two G3 interface units, also
set bit 3 of communication switch 16
to "1" (Fax SP1-104-023).
9. Turn the main switch off and on.
10. Print out the system parameter list and check that "G3-2 (single port) and G3-3
(dual ports)" is listed as an option (Fax SP6-101).
11. Set up and program the items required for PSTN-2/PSTN-3 communications.
12. Turn the main switch off and on.
