Connecting a Rain Sensor

!
Important:
The sensor circuit is designed for a Normally Closed rain sensor.
If a rain sensor is NOT connected, the Sensor switch MUST be in
the "Bypass" position OR a jumper wire connected across the
sensor connection terminals.

f the jumper wire is removed and the Sensor switch is in the
position, the controller will NOT operate automatically.
ACTIVE
1. Re
move the wiring access hole plug from the bottom of the cabinet
and insert in the sensor connection cable.
2. R
emove the jumper wire from the Sensor terminals. Connect the
Brown and White wires to the sensor terminals and the Red wires
to the 24 VAC terninals.
3. Refer to the rain sensor user guide for set up and operating details.
4. Place the Sensor Bypass switch in the Active position.
When the Rain Sensor is active, all current and scheduled automatic
controller operation will placed on hold and the following message
will be displayed (example):

RainSwitch
When the Rain Sensor hold is released, the controller will resume
automatic operation. The Sensor switch can be placed in the Bypass
position at any time to ignore Rain Sensor operation.
Note: Manual watering operation is not affected by operation of
the Rain Sensor.
