Site Data Gathering Process
Review System Installation
Make note of the following:
1.
A descriptive name for each active station on the controller.
2.
The manufacturer of the irrigation nozzles on each station.
The spacing of heads for each station, based on general

observation only.
4.
The pressure at the heads (based on general observation).
5.
For retrofit applications, the age of the irrigation system
components, especially the sprinkler nozzles and piping. The
performance of these components is likely to degrade over time.
6.
All other station properties are gathered and indicated on the
Irrigation System Profile Worksheet.
Enter the Station Precipitation Rate in the Controller
1.
If the precipitation rate of the station is known from an irrigation
design or other calculation, enter it in the station's properties.
This is most common with new irrigation installations.
2.
If the precipitation rate is not known, such as in the case of a
retrofit installation, set the station's sprinkler type to the type of
heads that are installed on that station. The controller will set a
default precipitation rate for you.
Follow-up Site Visits
1.
Closely check the conditions of the landscape. Look for stress in
the plant material or other signs of under-watering or over-
watering, such as soggy areas or puddles immediately after
irrigation applications.
