CONFIGURING THE OPERATION PARAMETERS
NOTE: the set-up environment is reserved for service engineers and programmers as certain parameters
that can be selected are used to specialize the machine or the option installed and must not be
modified. Incorrect modification by the operator could cause malfunctioning of the printer.
The programming menu is composed of three main menus «CONFIG.», «IBM» and «OLIVETTI», each menu
having a series of related parameters.
NOTE: for how to access these sub-menus, refer to the next section. You can move from one sub-menu to
another by pressing the STATION2 key, as described in the following. To change the values
associated with the parameters in the sub-menus, refer to the section
parameters" on page 4 -
Set-up activation
To enter the programming (set-up) menu, follow the procedure below:
1. Switch off the printer.
2. Switch it on again holding down the STATION1 and
STATION2 keys of the console.
3. When the phase for resetting the printer mechanism
completes, check that the ON and Ready LEDs are
illuminated.
4. Insert an A4 sheet in the front slot.
5. The machine will print the meaning of the keys in this
environment on one line.
6. Press the LOCAL key to enter the «Configuration menu».
7. The currently active menu is printed: «CONFIG.» or «IBM» or
«OLIVETTI», for which you can change its parameters.
By default, the first menu activated is the Configuration
menu, «CONFIG.».
NOTE: every time you press the STATION2 key you pass to the next menu in succession, in this case
«IBM» then «OLIVETTI».
