Calibrating the scanner

1. Open the printer cover.
2. Power on the printer, with the cover open, keeping the three console keys pressed.
3. Wait until the acoustic signal that indicates that the calibration and adjustment procedure has begun.
4. Close the printer cover.
5. Press the STATION2 key and wait until there is a complete
mechanical reset of the printer.
6. Press the STATION2 key again.
7. Insert the scanner calibration sheet, code XYAB3976, with the opaque face turned upwards and aligned
completely to the left.
8. Wait for calibration of the CIS on the scanner front/back.
9. Wait for calibration of the front/back left /TOF margin.
10. Introduce an A4 sheet for printing the calibration parameters. See the figure on the following page.
For the calibration parameters printed, check:
The presence of the FRONT SCAN and the REAR SCAN;
That there are no failures. Failure: None;
that the values of the parameter "Mechanical scan pixel overlap" for the FRONT SCAN and for the REAR SCAN
are both less than 20/300". In the case that these values are higher, repeat the calibration paying maximum
attention to aligning the calibration sheet completely on the left.
After the calibration, during the self-test phase, the printer indicates: Scanner front/rear present.
NOTE: to print the calibration parameters without changing the current values, just enter the procedure for
printing the calibration values for photosensors: the scanner values will be printed after those for
the photosensors.
