Click on the Default Annotation Settings tab; select the
appropriate radio button and the View Settings... pushbutton.
OR
From the Annotations tool bar, select the graphic annotation tool
for the type of annotation you want to change.
The Characteristics dialog box, described earlier, for the
specified graphic annotation type opens.
Select the desired graphic annotation characteristics such as
colour and line width for the annotation type. (Note: These
settings will apply to all future annotations of the same type.)
Select the colour you want for your Line, Freehand,
Highligher, Whiteout and Rectangle annotations as well as
the fill colour for your rectangle annotations from the Basic
Colours group.
Select the line width for Line, Freehand, Highligher,
Whiteout and Rectangle annotations as well as the borders
of your rectangles from the Line Width group.
Select the Transparent option to have your Line, Free-
hand, and Highligher annotations as well as the fill of your
rectangle transparent. (Note: The Highlighter annotation
should be transparent, whereas the Whiteout annotation
should not be transparent.)
Select the Border option to have your rectangles drawn with
a black border. (Note: The Border option is only available
in the rectangle mode.)
Select OK for the changes in graphic annotation characteris-
tics to take effect for all future graphic annotations.

Highlighting Your Images

The Highlighter Pen enables you to highlight (emphasize) areas of
your image. With the Highlighter Pen, you can draw wide, freeform
transparent lines anywhere on your image.
