Pseudo Ring Duration
Use this selection to set the duration of pseudo ringing for TEL/
FAX reception mode (pseudo ringing is the special ringing sound
the Colour MFP emits to alert you to voice calls when it is in
TEL/FAX reception mode).
For activating fax reception from an extension phone
Select the Remote Reception Select checkbox if you want to be
able to activate fax reception from a touch-tone extension phone
by pressing 5 * * on the phone. For example, if you answer a call
on an extension phone and a person talks to you and then wants
to send a fax, you can make the Colour MPF begin fax reception
by pressing 5 * * on the extension phone.
If you want to use a number other than 5 to activate fax recep-
tion, you can change the number with the TEL/FAX Remote
Number box.
