) Knfe thread gude 1 should be attached so that
the needle enters about the center of the wndow
secton.
2) If the counter knfe poston s changed from the
standard poston n drecton A : The length of re-
manng thread after thread trmmng wll be length-
ened by the shftng amount of the counter knfe as
compared wth the thread length when the counter
knfe s n the standard poston.
If the counter knfe poston s changed from the
standard poston n drecton B : The length of re-
manng thread after thread trmmng wll be short-
ened by the shftng amount of the counter knfe as
compared wth the thread length when the counter
knfe s n the standard poston.
) When sewng heavy-weght materal, move thread
gude 1 to the left (arrow A ) to ncrease the thread
take-up amount.
2) When sewng lght-weght materal, move thread
gude 1 to the rght (arrow B ) to reduce the thread
take-up amount.
3) The standard poston of thread gude 1 s where
marker lne C s algned wth the center of the
screw.
If thread guide 1 is moved to where
marker line C is far from the center of
screw, it can cause the thread to break.
) Frst loosen nut 2 . To ncrease the holder pressure,
turn holder adjustment screw 1 clockwse (arrow
A ).
2) To decrease the presser pressure, turn counter-
clockwse (arrow B )
3) After adjustment, tghten nut 2 .
after holder pressure adjustment, do
not change the height of holder adjust-
ment screw 1 .
