Starting the NT11

Follow the procedure below when using the NT11 for the first time or when
changing the system.
Create the screen data to be displayed on the NT11 by using a support tool.
For the screen data creation, refer to the "NT-series NT11 Support Tool Oper-
ation Manual" (V030-E1-1).
Turn ON the power to the NT11.
When no screen data has been registered, the "SYSTEM MENU" will be dis-
played. If the NT11 enters the RUN mode, press appropriate function keys to
display the System Menu.
Select a System Menu and initialize the NT11 unit memory.
Connect the NT11 to the system transfer tool and transfer the system program
from the system transfer tool to the NT11.
For details on connecting the NT11 to the system transfer tool, refer to 3-5
Transferring the System Program (page 66).
Connect a support tool to the NT11 and transfer the screen data from the sup-
port tool to the NT11.
For the connection of a support tool, refer to 2-3 Connecting to the NT Sup-
port Tool (page 22).
Select the System Menu and set the conditions for communications with the
PLC using the memory switch.
Connect to the PLC and start the operation.
If an error has occurred during operation, check the I/Os, settings, etc. refer-
ring to this guide.
When the NT11 is started, it will enter the RUN mode if system settings and
screen data registration have been completed. If no screen data has been
registered or the screen data are destroyed, the System Menu will be dis-
played.
Before turning ON the power, check the following DIP switch settings on the
NT11.
• SW2-2 "Screen data forced initialize effective/ineffective" is set to OFF
(ineffective).
• DIP SW2-6, "system program erase", is OFF.
For the DIP switch settings of the unit, refer to 2-1-2 DIP Switch Settings
(page 18).
