• Password input error flag (bit 9)
If a value that does not match the password registered in NT11 password
setting is input in three successive attempts, the password input error flag
comes ON ("1"). On notification to the PLC, it goes OFF ("0").
For details on how the password input error flag is used, refer to 4-8 Pass-
word Screen Display Function (page 100).
This section explains the actual procedures used to determine the NT11 sta-
tuses and operating statuses.
To ensure system safety, be sure to make a program which periodically reads
the PT operating status bit in order to confirm that the PT is operating nor-
mally.
In order to ascertain the NT11 operating statuses, the PT status notification
bits are used.
The NT11 automatically notifies information such as operating statuses to the
PT status notification bits in the PT status notify area (PT –> PLC) allocated in
the PLC memory, as follows:

Notification of password input mistakes: "Password input error flag"

The PT status notify area (PT ® PLC) can be allocated to the PLC memory
areas listed in the following table.
Words can be allocated for the PT status notify area (PT ® host) in the follow-
ing host (PLC) areas.
