Setting Frequency Command by Analog Inputs (Voltage/Current)

 How to input a frequency command from an external device according to a voltage or current
Q
input signal?
 How to connect a variable resistor (potentiometer) to change the frequency command?
 To set the output frequency command according to an analog voltage input (0 to 10 VDC) using
A
the [Ai1] terminal or an analog current input (4 to 20 mA) from the [Ai2] terminal of the control
terminal, set the "Frequency input source selection [A001]
this is done, "Output frequency setting or monitor [F001]" acts as the output frequency
command monitor.
 If the "Analog input switching [AT]" input terminal is not assigned, the [Ai1] voltage input + [Ai2]
current input acts as the frequency command.
 If the [AT] terminal is assigned, the "[AT] selection [A005]" parameter can be set so that it
switches between any combination of pairs of inputs that may consist of the [Ai1] voltage input,
the [Ai2] current input, or the optional remote operator (OPE-SR/OPE-SR mini) potentiometer
[POT] as shown below. Therefore, when using only [Ai1] voltage input or [Ai2] current input,
either short-circuit one of the [Ai1]/[Ai2] terminals to the [L] terminal, or assign the [AT] terminal
according to the settings shown in the table below.
 The inverters are adjusted upon shipment so that a 9.8 VDC or a 19.8 mA input from the
!
[Ai1]/[Ai2] terminals is the full scale of the command input (the maximum frequency setting for
frequency command). This can be fine-tuned as necessary. For details regarding adjustment,
refer to "9.15.3 Adjusting the Analog Input".

Item
The output frequency command is set according to the [Ai1]
voltage input (0 to 10 VDC) or [Ai2] current input (4 to 20
mA) signal from the control circuit terminal block.
The frequency
command input source
is switched by turning
the [AT] input terminal
on and off.
Analog input switching [AT]:
When the frequency command input source is an analog
input from the control terminal, the [A005] setting and the
[AT] input terminal ON/OFF setting allow you to switch
between any combination of pairs of inputs that may
consist of the [Ai1] voltage input, the [Ai2] current input,
or the remote operator potentiometer [POT].
