16.1.1

Daily Inspection

 Check that the following abnormalities are not observed during operation.

Cleaning

 Keep the inverter in a clean condition.

Do not use solvents such as acetone, benzene, toluene, or alcohol as they may melt the

surface or strip the coating of the inverter.

Do not use detergents or alcoholic cleaners to clean the keypad displays.

Periodic Inspection

 Check sections that cannot be inspected unless operation is stopped and sections requiring
periodic inspection.
 Please contact your supplier or local Hitachi inverter sales office for periodic inspection.

Periodic Function Test for Safety Function (STO)

 When handling the WJ-C1 as a functional safety certified product, be sure to perform the
following items. For details, refer to the separate volume "WJ series C1 Safety Function Guide
(NT3612*X)".
 A periodical STO functional test must be performed at least once in a year to maintain the
intended safety performance level of the STO function. This periodical STO function test is one
of the conditions for the STO function of WJ-C1 to meet PL e of ISO13849-1 and SIL 3 of
IEC61800-5-2.
